Kindred Stamps is one of my forever-favorite stamp companies (I seriously own like 25 of their stamp sets and counting), and even though I already have their Childhood Friends set, I knew that I needed the Woodland Adventures update, too. Since this is one of her favorite franchises, I knew I wanted to use this for a friend’s birthday card. Since we live far away from each other, I paired it with Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage die and stencil set (plus their postage stamps) to give the whole thing a postcard-y, love-at-a-distance feel.

The grid is doing a lot of the design work, but I really love the sentiment “any day spent with you is my favorite day” smack dab in the middle. I colored each character with Ohuhu markers and used Distress Oxide ink to blend soft window backgrounds behind them, so each stamp feels like its own tiny world.

I’m especially proud of the tiger placement. He’s bouncing in diagonally instead of sitting still inside his frame, which matches his chaotic energy (and also mine, since he’s my favorite and I am also friendly chaotic energy incarnate haha).

My friend loved it! Birthday card success rate: 100%.
