Some people give flowers.
Some give chocolates.
But some of us give lovingly handcrafted, stair-step-folded Sasquatch cards with teal heart balloons and deeply specific puns—because that’s what real love looks like.
For Day 3 of my Getting My Sh*t Together Card Challenge, I present this delightful, forest-dwelling oddball: a handmade Mother’s Day card featuring Woolly, the adorable Bigfoot digital stamp from the lovelies at Freakin’ Cute Stamps.
🎨 Supplies Used:
- Digital Stamp: Woolly from Freakin’ Cute Stamps
- Card Base: Hand-scored stair step fold
- Coloring: Copic markers for rich fur tones and balloon magic
- Paper: Coordinating foresty tones + a pop of teal
💌 Handmade Mother’s Day Card Details:
This card was commissioned by a friend for her mother-in-law—and I was all in the second she told me her vision. I came up with the sentiment
“You’re one in a cryptid-million!”
and I used a stair step fold card base to give Woolly the dimensional stage he deserves. I popped him up holding a teal heart balloon like he’s shyly wandered out of the woods just to deliver cryptid-level love.
🐾 Why I Loved This One:
This was one of those cards where the concept just clicked. I couldn’t stop smiling while I made it. The fold was fun, the coloring was meditative, and Woolly?? Just a bigfoot with a big heart. Who wouldn’t want that energy on Mother’s Day?
Sending love from the hidden corners of the woods,
Breanna
