I never wanted to do something like this. I make cute, whimsical, celestial designs! I don’t make…poop.
But sometimes, a card needs to feature a disturbingly formal corporate man delivering an unforgettable message…about poop, so here we are.
📺 The Concept: Severance Inspired Card
This card is my love letter to Severance, a perfect blend of existential dread, corporate absurdity, and deeply weird moments that live rent-free in my brain. Even though I had originally planned to make a cute “I’m Your Favorite Perk” themed card, but when I heard the line “Devour Feculence” in last night’s episode, I knew that I had to make a card out of it.
Front sentiment: “Devour Feculence”
Inside reveal: “That means, ‘Eat shit.’
The best part? All the art is original. I designed:
- The digital stamp of our suited, emotionally empty speaker
- The poop plate art (mmm, appetizing)
- The seamless patterns that I printed out for both the inside and outside panels
And I wrapped it all up in a satisfying gatefold card layout, because this kind of message deserves a cool reveal.
🛠 Supplies & Techniques:
- Custom digital stamps (drawn by me, inspired by Severance)
- Printed papers: Both the utensil-poop-star pattern and the TP + turd tiles were designed in Procreate and laid out for print
- Coloring: Ohuhu markers!
- Gatefold card base, cut and layered for that perfect pop-open drama
- Sentiments by Cricut Print & Cut
Delivering poop and professionalism in equal measure,
Breanna
