I’m so excited to be sharing a card again today, especially because this one marks my return to crafting after a long hiatus due to some personal family matters. It feels really, really good to be back at my desk creating, and even better to be back sharing with all of you!
Today’s card was created for a dear friend who loves unicorns, and also works for the Paper Funday Challenge!
The focal point is the So Enchanted – Dew Drop digital stamp by Sweet November Stamps, and honestly… just look at her. That little smile? That rainbow mane? I’m not saying she cured my creative block, but I’m also not not saying that. 😂
I colored Dew Drop with Ohuhu alcohol markers, keeping the palette soft and pastel to match the dreamy, magical feel of the card.
For the background, I used Picket Fence Studios “52 Layers of Clouds” stencil along with Distress Oxide inks to create that soft, blended cloud scene in the center. I love how Distress Oxides give that slightly chalky, storybook look… perfect for something enchanted like this.
The outer panel was created using a heart stencil and ink blending for a playful, tone-on-tone pattern that adds texture without overpowering the focal point.
To frame everything, I used the Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers die for that delicate stitched edge, and the Memory Box Co. Wrapped Stitched Circle Frame to spotlight the cloud scene and unicorn.
The sentiment — “You were crafted to do magical things” — felt like the perfect finishing touch, especially for a card made for a friend, who is a writer and does indeed create magical things! It’s sweet, encouraging, and just a little bit sparkly in spirit, even without the copious amounts of glitter I added. ✨
Thank you so much for stopping by and crafting along with me again! I’ve missed this space and I’m so happy to be back. I can’t wait to share more projects with you very soon!
Happy crafting 💕
